Vehicle Rentals

Transportation Services provides clean, safe and reliable vehicles to meet the transportation needs of University departments. Maintained by a team of professional technicians, we provide cost-effective short-term and long-term (assigned) rentals. Vehicles include sedans, multi-passenger vans, box trucks and Suburbans. Rental rates depend on the type of vehicle and length of rental.

Vehicles are for official University business use only.

Pool Vehicle Rental Rates

Pickup Truck, Crew-cab

6-passenger, 1T, 4WD

Towing capacity 13,000 lbs

Full-size Van,
10, 11, or 12-passenger

1 Weekly rate is 6 times the daily rate.

2 Monthly rate is 20 times the daily rate.

Note: Rates do not include cost of fuel. Although a fuel card is provided, cost of fuel purchased will be recharged with cost of rental.

A signed Towing Agreement is required prior to using any Transportation Services vehicle for towing a cargo/vehicle/vessel trailer. Tow vehicles must meet the necessary towing rating as specified by the manufacturer of the tow vehicle.

A signed Primitive Road/Off-Road Policy is required prior to using any Transportation Services vehicle on primitive (unpaved or unimproved) roads. Renting department will be held responsible for all expenses required to repair or recover vehicle when any portion of the rental is used on such roads.

Many roads and bridge crossings now require a toll to be paid. To avoid penalties, infrequent users may pay tolls online prior to travel or within a certain number of days after your trip.

All toll collection on the 73, 133, 241 & 261 Toll Roads is electronic.
To avoid penalties, visitors and infrequent users of The Toll Roads may pay tolls online prior to or within five days after your trip.

You may also avoid the toll roads by staying on the 405 freeway.
